Voice-Over Instructions. 

  1. Go to your PPT slide deck
  2. Open in the Desktop app
  3. Go to INSERT–>Media–>Audio–>Record
  4. When you are done, there will be a MEGAPHONE icon in the centre of the slide. You can change the colour of the icon by selecting Home–>Drawing–>Shapes Fill. Select a colour. You can also change the size of the icon by dragging the corner of the icon.

Complete Course Summative: Content Library: Unit 4

Plan and write the course summative essay. 

Revise and edit the essay using the Self-edit sheet.

Introducing Unit 2 Course Summative—OneNote: Content Library: Unit 2: Lesson 2.11

January 10th

Finish Unit 2 work. 

  • Poems in Commonlit
  • Discussion questions in OneNote
  • “Identity” graphic organizer in Word. 

We will begin Unit 2 summative on January 11. Due January 17.

January 6th and 7th

Conference for Unit 2. 

  1. When you come to the meeting on Thursday/Friday, I will put you in a breakout room. I ask you to patiently wait for me to get to you.
  2. Be prepared to explain where you are in the course; that is, what feedback you have received and how you have used it and what your next step is. 
  3. Then you will spend the remaining time in the class completing that next step.

January 5th

Go to Quizlet and review the vocabulary for Unit 2. Here is the link: https://bit.ly/whs9poetryvoc

Practice for 15 minutes using one of the learning strategies found in the left-hand navigation menu. Then click on TEST and set the options to match the image below. When you are done, screenshot your score and paste it into your ASSESSMENT and REFLECTION FOLDER in YOUR notebook, Quizlet Scores page. Remember to include the date. Share the page with me via the assignment submission page.

Checklist

  1. Practice Unit 2 vocabulary for 15 mins
  2. Complete a Quizlet Test
  3. Screenshot the score into your Assessment and Reflection notebook: Quizlet Scores page
  4. Share the link to that page with me via the Assignment submissions page.
  5. Review where you are in the course by reading the information below and updating your tracking sheet. 
  6. Make a plan to get caught up. 
  7. Attend tomorrow’s class meeting.
