Then we will prepare for a literature circle by choosing our roles. Finally, if there is time, we will spend some time working with our vocabulary on Quizlet.

Apply our understanding of words to help us make meaning of a text.

I am away today, so we will return to our essays tomorrow. Please follow this agenda for today’s class. I have provided you with the time you need to use for each part of the agenda:

  1. Reading routine: Read, track your reading –20m
  2. HANDOUT: Answer questions about your current novel in your notebook. Answer in full sentences with evidence from the text. Choose 10 questions. –20m
  3. HANDOUT: Complete a mugshot paragraph. You may use this week’s work on sentences to help you remember the type of punctuation errors we have been working on. Also, complete the sentence combining section. There is a list of conjunctions on the reverse page. –20m
  4. DEVICE: Quizlet…15m
